eegee’s supports American Cancer Society with 2nd Annual Drink Pink Campaign
October 4, 2011 – Tucson, AZ – Tucson-based restaurant chain eegee’s announces the beneficiary of the 2012 Drink Pink campaign will be the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, eegee’s is coloring their signature lemon flavored fruit slush the color pink and donating a portion of the profits from each sale. The “Drink Pink” campaign will run throughout October, and will be available at all 22 Tucson locations, as well as their Casa Grande location. Last year’s first annual Drink Pink Campaign raised over $5000.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk raises funds that support a wide range of efforts including early diagnosis and prevention, physical and emotional assistance during treatment, major cancer research studies, as well as public policy involvement.
“Cancer touches more than just the people diagnosed,” The American Cancer society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer website states. It “unites communities to celebrate people who have battled breast cancer, educate people about ways to reduce their risk, and empower communities to join the fight.”
