Eegee’s 19th Annual Coupon Card Program Raises $202,035 for Tu Nidito

July 21, 2011 – TUCSON, AZ – This June, customers donated $202,035 to Tu Nidito through eegee’s 19th annual coupon card program. Each year eegee’s selects a Tucson-based not-for-profit organization as the program beneficiary. This year marks a new record high in dollars donated. Eegee’s will present the check to the board and staff of Tu Nidito on July 29.

In return for their generosity, eegee’s gives customers a coupon booklet for every $5 donation they make. Each booklet contains coupons good for the next 12 months, valued at up to $72.

President Tom O’Connor appreciates the community’s involvement. “For 19 years, the coupon card program has been the backbone of eegee’s commitment to supporting our community. I’m grateful and proud of our customers who donate, and am happy to reward them for their continued patronage.”

Eegee’s was proud to select Tu Nidito as this year’s beneficiary because of the important work they do to help Tucson’s children and families. Their organization provides support to children who have been affected by the death of a parent or diagnosis of cancer or other serious illness, at no cost to the families in need.

This year eegee’s celebrates their 40th anniversary, and is proud to continue their legacy of social responsibility.
